Job Title: SALES MANAGER
Location: Lagos Island
Role Objective: We are searching for a high-performing Head of sales who will be responsible for managing all sales opportunities from sales pursuit to close, using deep sales processes and offering expertise. In addition, he/she would be responsible for maximizing our sales team's potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the upper management. He/she will also develop relationships with key customers and decision-makers at new and existing clients; protect and grow the business. Overall, candidates must be passionate about creating value for their customers, which ultimately leads to profitability.
Detailed Description
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Provide regular reporting on sales management, sales funnel development, forecasting, critical account status, market condition updates, sales results and budget performance.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Developing strategies to improve sales performance through ongoing training and development.
- Training new staff members on company policies and procedures as needed.
- Providing regular feedback to each sales team member regarding their performance.
- Coaching team members on effective sales techniques and methods for increasing revenue.
Required profile for job ad : SALES MANAGER Required Skills
- A good first Degree. An MBA / Master’s Degree is an added advantage
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in sales in the Travel industry with at least 3 years in senior sales roles.
- Proven Leadership Skills and ability to Manage diversity.
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets in the Travel industry.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business Acumen and understanding of Profit and Loss Accounts.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills in both large and small groups.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Word and Power Point.
- Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
